Frailea

Frailea

Fraileas are small globular plants from South America. They have the reputation of not opening their flowers in cultivation, but as can be seen in the picture, this is not entirely true. Some species do not open their flowers, but others will, albeit only for a relatively short time and only on particularly hot days.
