Wilcoxia poselgeri

Wilcoxia poselgeri

Yet another plant with more than one name - Wilcoxia poselgeri is now more correctly referred to as Echinocereus poselgeri. Its old name tends to persist among growers, however, so it has been retained here.

This sprawling plant from Texas and Mexico has long, very thin - but fairly rigid - stems. These are quite distinctive, certainly when compared with other Echinocereus species, but its large pink flowers are certainly typical of Echinocerei.
