The Rock Hand
The Rock Hand
There is more to see than just plants and desert, including some unexpected sights such as this sculpture of a rock hand. It is located well away from habitation near the Pan American highway, south of Antofagasta and north of Taltal. Although difficult to tell from the photograph, the sculpture is probably about 9 to 12m (30 to 40 feet) tall. It is a shame that even in that remote location is suffers from litter and graffitti!
