Glottiphyllum aff. fragrans
Glottiphyllum aff. fragrans
Glottyphyllums are often considered to be low down the connoisseur's list of Mesembs, leading to their derogatory nickname of "Grotty-phyllums". This is due to their habit of forming large clumps of soft, easily damaged, bloated leaves in cultivation. In truth this is due to bad cultivation, but the reputation stands.

Given the correct conditions, and some space to grow in, they can reward growers with showy flowers produced in numbers and some, such as the one pictured, will flower even when in small pots.
