Anacampseros alstonii, or more properly now called Avonia quinaria ssp alstonii, is a real gem from Namibia. It forms a small caudex from which it produces its silvery leaves and superb flowers which dwarf the plant. Regrettably, like so many of these choice collectors plants, it is not the easiest to keep growing and all to often it succumbs and the caudex turns to mush!
