Dudleya saxosa

Dudleya saxosa

Dudleyas are closely related to Echeverias - the latter being more commonly seen in cultivation. Indeed this plant D. saxosa has the common name of Rock Echeveria. Dudleyas are native to the south western US states and to Mexico.

The photograph was taken of a plant in its natural habitat on the Apache Trail, north east of Phoenix in Arizona.
