Turbinicarpus
![]() |
Every species in the genus Turbinicarpus can be considered
choice and sought after by collectors. All are slow growing miniatures,
though clumps are seen - but not often sold - they are rarely more than
a few inches across. All species produce a succession of their smallish
pink, cream or yellow flowers even when quite small. To give a sense of
scale, the largest pots in the photograph are only 70mm (2.75") square.
Care is required in cultivation, though generally they are not too difficult
to keep - just slow!
