Weingartia sucrensis

Weingartia sucrensis, like most Weingartias,
produces a flush of fairly small yellow flowers (one or two species have
orange or reddish flowers). These Bolivian and Argentinean plants present
few problems in cultivation and are quite attractive when in flower, though
the bodies are nothing special the rest of the year, which is probably
one reason why most collections include one or two Weingartias, but few specialise in them. Photograph by :
